This is a drawing for the wonderful PURPLE MAGICIAN!
It is of her original character, "October". **THIS CHARACTER DOES NOT BELONG TO ME**
Her description is as follows:
Age: 21
Occupation: Assassin
Race: Human
Brief Background: Parents killed by a pirate raid of their port city, she became on orphan at age six. Eight years later, she ran away from what little home she had, roaming through towns and living off of stolen money. Still scarred by her parents' murder, she sought out a way to find justice.
She trained herself in the art of sword fighting and became somewhat of a vigilante figure, tracking down and killing what criminals she could.
At the age of seventeen, representatives from the King's army showed up her door with a written request for an audience. When the King offered her a place in his guard, she told him that she worked solo, and he told her she could continue to do so while still working for him. She agreed, officially becoming his assassin.
Personality: She's quite serious at first meeting, a hard exterior with a softer center. She sometimes wonders if she's doing the right thing, particularly at times when she is haunted by the ghosts of those she's killed. She fears that she is becoming apathetic, going through her days with a numbness that resulted from her job. She loosens up after a while, and has a dark and sarcastic sense of humor. She hates feeling inferior or incapable, and is very dedicated to training and her work. She is afraid to let anyone too close, believing that love always comes with the price of pain, but yet does not understand those who do not hold their family dear, since she would give anything to have hers back.
ME AGAIN - When I read this, my immediate feeling was that she was lonely. I don't know why, but that's what I got. I got this strong mental image of a warrior in her down time, guard down, vulnerable, caring for her best friend in the world - her sword. I drew her from scratch, and stole the background from another of my own drawings, as it seemed to fit
